The National Team

Our National TeamThis team is composed of talented swimmers who train for twenty hours or so a week during the school year and double that during vacations and summers in order to pursue excellence. In addition, the finest of this group also study film and read scientific papers in order to find the edge which will propel them onto the winners stand.

At this level of competition, the brain is the champion's ultimate edge.

Head Coach Bruno runs the National Team with the able assistance of Coach Dave.

We spend countless hours working on technique to ensure that all of our swimmers compete at the highest level. During specific training phases, the group is divided in small groups with speficic workouts designed to fulfill each athletes' needs.

The Senior Program

The Senior ProgramThe Senior Groups are for the "old timers." Swimmers must be at least 13 years old!

These groups include many talented swimmers who want swimming to be part of their life; but, perhaps, not as large a part as the National Team requires. Others love swimming and love the competition, but have not as yet had the breakthrough which would make them national competitors.

The teen-age years are filled with opportunities and choices. The Senior groups help to make sure that swimming is not an "all or nothing" choice for the teen-age CSSC swimmer.

Coach Raphael Lima, as well as Head Coach Bruno, oversee the Senior Group.

International swimmers generally train with the National Team.

Between them CSSC coaches are fluent in seven different languages. They are adept at making international swimmers feel welcome. In addition, the CSSC staff can make arrangements for housing foreign swimmers who choose to swim with CSSC.
