SOFLO SWIMMERS WEEK SEVEN HIGH SCHOOL SWIMS
Junior Keegan Boisson-Yates of Taravella won the 100-yard freestyle in a season-best 48.09 and was third in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.16 at the BCAA Championships.
Leonie Davies of West Broward was third in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:18.88, third in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:29.72 at the BCAA Championships and member of the 400-yard freestyle relay at the BCAA Championships.
Kyle Desrosiers of St. Thomas Aquinas was seventh in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:05.21 and eighth in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:55.60 at the BCAA Championships.
Sophomore Alex Evdokimov of Taravella was third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:01.77 at the BCAA Championships.
Sophomore Mia Fiorenzi of St. Thomas Aquinas defended her title in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:14.11 and was also third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:11.39 at the BCAA Championships.
Junior Brandon Goldman of St. Thomas Aquinas won the 100-yad backstroke in a season-best 53.96 and was second in the 200-yard individual medley in 1:58.32, also his fastest time for the high school season, at the BCAA Championships. He also led off the Raiders' winning 200-yard medley relay that won in 1:40.46.
Senior Emily Greenwood of Douglas won the 100-yard backstroke in 58.61 and was second in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.00 at the BCAA Championships.
Mauricio Hidalgo of Douglas was third in the 100-yard butterfly in 54.43 and fifth in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:05.51 at the BCAA Championships.
Sophomore Amber Hunter of West Broward was fifth in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:03.00 and member of the 400-yard freestyle relay at the BCAA Championships.
Kelly Kealty of Taravella was fifth in 1:13.64 in the 100-yard breaststroke at the BCAA Championships.
Anne Kuczynski of Douglas was second in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:15.11 and fourth in the 200-yard freestyle in 55.15 at the BCAA Championships.
Sophomore Emma Lincoln of Cypress Bay won the 100-yard freestyle in 52.96 and was second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:53.48 at the BCAA Championships.
Freshman Melissa Marinheiro of West Broward broke the BCAA record in the 500-yard freestyle by 3.17 seconds in 5:00.34 at the BCAA Championships. She also won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:52.73 and member of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay.
Junior Marcella Marinheiro of West Broward was second in the 100-yard backstroke in 58.63 and member of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay at the BCAA Championships.

Senior Ashley Monaghan of St. Thomas Aquinas was second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:10.54 at the BCAA Championships.
Marc Rojas of Pembroke Pines Charter was second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:01.00 and fourth in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:02.78 at the BCAA Championships.
Senior Victoria Sage of Pembroke Pines Charter was sixth in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:38.16 at the BCAA Championships.
Freshman Haley Wright of Cypress Bay was fifth in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:35.10 at the BCAA Championships.
Julie Plasencia of Archbishop McCarthy won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:09.41 and 100-yard backstroke in 1:11.85 in a 117-45 win over Miami Pace.
Miranda Mila of Archbishop McCarthy won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:37.55 against Pace.
Kaitlin Armstrong of Archbishop McCarthy won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:22.80 against Pace.
AROUND THE STATE
The Florida High School Activities Association announced the creation of its own network that will broadcast live state-level competitions online. Through FHSAAsports.com the games will be produced and broadcast by PlayOn! Sports. Fans will be able to see live games as well as on-demand, archived broadcasts of old games. The programming schedule will start this fall with broadcasts of the Nov. 10-12 swimming and diving state meet from Orlando, girls volleyball in Kissimmee and football finals from the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. Two weeks after the death of his mother, Tampa Plant sophomore Kyle Kimura won the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard butterfly at the Western Conference Championships. His butterfly time of 53.96 seconds was a school record. "Swimming lets all that anger out," Kimura told reporters after the race. Plant boys and girls swept the American Division team titles. Newsome boys and girls swept the Federal Division. The Wharton girls and King boys split the National Division titles…Barron Collier and Gulf Coast defended their team titles in the Collier County Athletic Conference Swimming Championships. Four meet records, including the oldest in meet history, fell Saturday night at the Palm Beach County Swimming and Diving Championships at Lake Lytal. St. Andrew's swimmer Quinn Cassidy, son of St. Andrew's coach Sid Cassidy, broke the meet record in the 200-yard individual medley in 1:55.68, bettering the previous record of 1:56.58 set by Olympian Ryan Berube of Benjamin and North Palm Beach in 1991. Cassidy was also a member of the Scots record-breaking medley relay that won in 1:37.26. Juniors Jason McCormick of Boca Raton and Jacob Perry of King's Academy, the meet double individual event winners, shared Outstanding Male Swimmers of the Meet. McCormick won the 50-yard freestyle in 21.65 and 100-yard freestyle in 47.56. Percy won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:45.46 and 500-yard freestyle in 4:46.37. St. Andrew's junior Tasija Karosas broke the meet record in the 100-yard backstroke in 56.34 and won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:06.45 to win Outstanding Female Swimmer of the Meet. Martin County swept the boys and girls team titles at the Martin County Swimming Championships against South Fork and Jensen Beach. Martin County's Aubrey Murray won the 100-yard freestyle in 54.17 and 100-yard breaststroke in 1:12.98 and Macey Arnold won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:56.63 and 500-yard freestyle in 5:09.44. For the Martin County boys, Daniel Hartley won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:54.17 and 100-yard freestyle in 50.76. Mack Martinock won the 100-yard butterfly in 53.26 and 100-yard breaststroke in 1:01.47.
