Mullins Park Swimmers Sizzle At Pompano Beach Winter Sizzler

Seven swimmers from Mullins Park took another big step in their young swimming careers at the March 2nd Pompano Beach Winter Sizzler hosted by the Piranhas.

The swimmers worked on racing, breathing, stroke technique but above all had fun interacting with their coaches, parents and other swimmers from various clubs in the Florida Gold Coast.

The swimmers who participated and did well were March Swimmer of the Month Amber Candido, Justin Ruf, Meredith McDade, Faith Newby, Carla Cooper, Georgia Johnson and Victoria Grimaldi.

Age group head coach Jessica Nugent was pleased with how the Mullins Park swimmers used what they have been learning at practice in an actual swim meet and how they listened to their coaches advice on fine tuning their strokes, breathing and kicking.

All four strokes were featured in 25-yard events in the two-hour meet.
