SOFLO TOP PERFORMERS OF THE WEEK

 

Gianpaolo Barelli, Grandview Prep, finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:45.43) and third in the 100-yard freestyle (48.77), both best times, at the Palm Beach County Swimming Championships.

Linea Cutter, Douglas, had two second-place finishes with best times in the 50- and 100-yard freestyles.

Gina Gautieri, Douglas, won the 100-yard breaststroke in season-best 1:09.10 after two runner-up finishes on two relays and eighth place in the 500-yard freestyle.

Brandon Goldman, St. Thomas Aquinas, placed second in the 200-yard individual medley in a best time of 2:01.79 and 100-yard backstroke in 55.68.

Emily Kopas, University School, won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:05.39 in a dual meet against Pine Crest and Our Lady of Lourdes to move into the No. 1 spot in the county honor roll. Also won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:10.80.

Valerio Rasi, Grandview Prep, finished second in the 100-yard backstroke (53.29) and third in the 200-yard individual medley (1:58.11), both best times, at the Palm Beach County Swimming Championships.

Marc Rojas, Pembroke Pines Charter, broke the only meet record and defended his title at the Broward County Athletic Association Swimming Championships in the 100-yard breaststroke in season-best 1:00.61.
