Comets, Coral Springs Swim Club Compete In 8-and-Under Sizzler Invitational In Tamarac On Friday

Marissa Kopec, Daniel Huang and Joshua Banks of the Coral Springs Swim Club will be among top seeds when they compete in the 8-and-Under Sizzler Short Course Invitational on Friday in Tamarac.

Kopec, 6, is seeded first in three events in the 6-and-under age group—25-meter butterfly, 25-meter backstroke and 25-meter freestyle. She is also seeded second in the 25-meter breaststroke.

Hanks, 7, is seeded first in two events in the 7-8 age group—25-meter backstroke and 25-meter freestyle. He is seeded second in the 25-meter butterfly.

Huang, 8, is seeded first in the 7-8 25-meter butterfly.

Coral Springs Swim Club is also seeded one-two in the 100-meter freestyle relays.

The two-hour meet features 160 swimmers and is sanctioned by the Florida Gold Coast.
